ORPHAN SUPPORT KENYA

(HAKUNA MATATA PROJECT)

This is a Not-For-Profit, duly registered Community Based Organisation in Kenya; with a purpose to bring cooperation between people of similar interest in Kenya and around the world in a bid to pool resources and fundraise towards the launch, running and sustainability of a home or centre for distressed children and women with a view to give them a new lease of life. The idea to start this project was inspired by some community representatives who have informally been supporting about 22 orphaned children, and some abused girls from various parts of this region, by mobilizing resources from the community to do this. Due to the recession and increased poverty, the little donations were no longer forthcoming and some of these children have dropped out of school, and those still in school lack the most basic needs.
This need has made the community start a local organization to help set up a Center to rehabilitate these children and girls.
