Permanent Beauty and Sytemic Grace: The Journey from Community to Security and Back

I gave a one hour presentation on my work in a project with Southern Housing Foundation, working on the Isle of Dogs in East London; at the 4th International Event held by KCC Foundation 22.-24.02. (www.kccfoundation.com). The project which concludes in mid-March has enabled sixty residents from the community to work with a professional metal work artist Ben Coode-Adams (www.bencoodeadams.com).
Permanent Beauty, has been a creative, partcipatory response to issues around anti-social behaviour. The fourteen month long process has been a pioneering project for the Foundation.
My role has been to lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team of colleagues from within the Foundation and coordinate communications and resources with external professional partners. I hope you agree that the results of the residents design work in partnership with BCA are stunning.
